Papilio himeros is a butterfly from Neotropic ecozone (South America). The area of distribution of this butterfly is restricted to Brazil. The first description was in 1866 by Hopffer. The wingspan is about 8 – 9 cm. Papilio himeros is a member of the family PAPILIONIDAE. The basic colour of this butterfly is dark brown. Yellow band and areas dominate the wings. The hind wings have tails. The fore wings are brown. A broad, yellow band dominates the wing.
