Anaea tyrianthina is a butterfly from the Nymphalidae family . The scientific name of the species was first validly published in 1868 by Osbert Salvin & Godman. This butterfy has anterior wings with hunchback ribs, pointed apex and concave outer edge. The upper is anterior wings is purple in color with brown outer margin and hind wings are brown. The reverse is beige to light brown and simulates a dead leaf. Polygrapha tyrianthina is present in Ecuador , Bolivia and Peru
